Prominent Egyptian scholar highlighted importance of boosting proximity between Shia and Sunni communities and rejected endeavors to reject Shia ideologies.

Sheikh Mohammad Ramezan, member of the union of Arab scholars stressed providing the grounds for materialization of solidarity between Muslims and resolving misconceptions, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Sheikh Ramezan underlined necessity of detailing the true image of Shia Islam and Ahlul Bayt (AS) and said,” People in Najaf and Iraq have proper knowledge of religion and the disagreement between some denominations does not seem a major deficiency.”
He said,” Although Islamic denominations have minor differences of ideas they share the same religious principles and this difference does not translate to a deficiency in religion or bring a hurdle to judgment of the religious scholars.”
Egyptian Sunni scholar vowed to prevent any effort to meddle, intrigue or spark reasoning or scientific disagreements between Muslims saying,” The fact is that there is no difference between Muslims unless in some naming because we are all under the same flag raised with the motto of “There is no God but Allah, Mohammad is his Messenger.”
Member of the union of Arab scholars defined proximity as “Proximity does not mean oppression against another denomination or introducing it as void” and hailed Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam for uprising for the sake of humanity and not a special school of thought.”
Sheikh Ramezan said,” There is no justification for not applying Shia scholars because there is no disagreement between Shia and Sunni” and added,” When the principles are the same and the disagreements are in minor issues which are not influential on the essence of Islam, then why shouldn’t the Shia cleric views pursued.”
