Iran is a country to highlight the fraternal ties between followers of different monotheistic religions.

Gregor Chifchyan, archbishop of the Armenians in Azerbaijan, attended the annual Badarak mass in Iran’s Qara Kelissa (the black church), said Islamic Republic’s attention towards different ethnicities and religions should be announced in the global arena, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
“Religions do not stand against each other rather it is followers of these religions who fight each other as we see them doing so in the Middle East and across the world”, said Archbishop Gregor Chifchyan.
 
He highlighted the mutual respect between different religions and reiterated the particular respect of the Armenians in Iran for all religious sanctities in the country.
 
He hailed the endeavors of Iranian authorities for the religious minorities calling that a proof for magnanimity of the Iranian system.
 
The archbishop who is scheduled to deliver a speech in the United States next week vowed to perfectly represent Iran and spread the esteem Islamic Republic of Iran maintains towards the minority groups.
 
Archbishop of the Azerbaijan Armenians also praised efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran for maintenance of sacred structures belonging to religious minorities.
 
Armenian Christians are the biggest minority religion in the Islamic Republic of Iran mainly distributed in Tabriz, Tehran and Isfahan.
