Formation of new religious lives, religious on post-modern era, nationalism and modernity, religious beliefs in polarity frames and also European interpretation of religious, are among the 15 chapters comprising the body of the book “Religion, Modernity and Post-modernity.”

Foreword for the book starts with,” Modernity and its relations with religion has obsessed the minds of many intellectuals for the past decades” continuing with key question if religion tolerates modernity and what are the most important necessities which modernity and post modernity create for religion.

Still another part in the introduction to the book runs,” Firstly it should be mentioned that modernity is a combination of beliefs and relations which result from a series of historical incidents previously happened in Europe.
Improvement of sanity standards, reduction of massive deaths, development of business on the one side and installment of ideological jobs including union associations, banks, insurances, universities and formation of civil organizations and also improvement of experimental sciences, agriculture and discovering steam power and technology besides appearance of different Christian denominations and non-religious groups especially literary and artistic schools of thought, new faiths in post-renaissance era led to creation of a new phenomenon called plurality. Variety of sects, races, groups, schools and ideologies also play their own role in formation of modernity.”

The introduction rejects any relation between religious beliefs and knowledge since if admitted then the less literacy would translate to more religious beliefs same or the more knowledgeable people were the less religious beliefs they would bear though this has not been proved to be true yet.
