"Iranian and Indian Muslims share many religious and cultural similarities," pointed out President of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought.

President of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri welcomed Indian delegation comprising religious faces to Iran, voicing Iran's readiness for strengthening ties with Islamic centers and thinkers in India, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Ayatollah Taskhiri congratulated the Indian clerics on the month of Shaban, the eighth month of the lunar calendar, which is followed by the holy month of Ramadan, holding them as a blessing bestowed by God Almighty upon Muslim nations.

"The foresaid holy months provide Muslims with a great chance to introduce the real divine Islam and Islamic principles," pointed out the former secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought.

Ayatollah Taskhiri in his remarks briefed on the programs and objectives advanced by Iran's top unity body noting, "The World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought whose incumbent Secretary General is Ayatollah Mohsen Taskhiri tries its utmost to promote unity Muslims and Islamic thinkers from different sects and denominations across the globe."

"The World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought holds different meetings with senior clerics and religious thinkers," underlined President of the Supreme Council of the Unity World Forum.

"I hope in this trip you get more familiar with Iranian religious clerics and seminary instructors, observing how much Iranian people love their divine Islam and its holy book of Quran," underscored Ayatollah Taskhiri.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the religious cleric mentioned, "Iranian nation's love to former founder of Islamic revolution of Iran, the late Imam Khomeini (RA), and Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei is undeniable," extending his hope that Indian clerics would observe this fact in their trip to Iran.

Indian clerics, for their part, thanked the World Forum and placed stress on the necessity of promoting cooperation among Indian and Iranian religious thinkers.

They went on to stress various meetings and gatherings should be held for advancing the set objectives in unity arena and promoting rapproachement among Muslim nations in the World of Islam.
