Israel razes hundreds of olive trees in Jordan Valley

30 Apr 2018 - 15:45

Israeli occupation forces uprooted and damaged hundreds of olive trees planted by pro-Palestine supporters during the past week in the northern Jordan Valley, Palestinian mass media said.

Human rights activists from B’Tselem, Aref Daraghmeh, said: “The Israeli occupation forces uprooted the olive trees planted by Palestinians and pro-Palestine activists last week in Bardala neighbourhood in the northern Jordan Valley.”
Daraghmeh noted that the trees were planted to replace olive trees which had previously been uprooted by the Israeli occupation forces the week before.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian foreign ministry condemned the Israeli High Court decision to forcibly deport Bedouins living in Khan Al-Ahmar to the east of occupied Jerusalem.
