Shawki Allam, prominent Egyptian mufti, has voiced his support for al-Quds as the capital of Palestine and also return of the Palestinian nation to their lands denouncing Israel’s recent killing of over two dozen protesters on Gaza border, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Shawki Allam in a statement issued on Saturday stressed the global support for Palestinian ifadha and the demonstrations to revive the rights of Palestinian nation.
“We demand international organizations and rights groups to back the Palestinian intifadha for retaking the occupied lands and defend al-Quds as the ever capital of Palestine” said the Egyptian mufti.
Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta underlined necessity of respect for decisions made by the UN and international stances rejecting the measure by US President to recognize al-Quds as the Israeli capital and said,” The Arab nature and identity of the holy city is subject to no changes.”
He noted efforts by all Arab and Islamic countries to foil endeavors for judaization of al-Quds and changing the Islamic identity of the holy city.
Egyptian mufti urged all Islamic countries, organizations and related committees to increase their efforts and make use of international stances in support of Palestine in order to raise an international solidarity against Donald Trump’s decision on relocating US embassy in Jerusalem al-Quds.
