Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thoughts in his newly released statement strongly slammed Israeli regimes' criminal measures after it killed more than a dozen Palestinians during Friday's Land Day rallies, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

"Land day is a national event and should be marked gloriously," the message read stressing the day was registered in all people's minds.

"Land day is marked and kept alive by men and women," highlighted the President of Iran top unity center noting the event will not be slipped into oblivion.

Elsewhere in his message Ayatollah Araki leveled criticism at those foundations backing the regime of Zionism against the defenseless people of Palestine.

He stressed the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thoughts denounces the inhumane actions perpetrated by the Israeli regime calling all Muslims across the World of Islam to stand by oppressed nation of Palestine and foil the plots hatched by Zionism.

The rallies coincided with the 42nd anniversary of Land Day, which commemorates the murder of six Palestinians by Israeli forces in 1976.

Friday's demonstrations turned violent after Israeli forces used tear gas and live fire to force back demonstrators who had approached within a few hundred meters of the heavily-fortified fence.
The clashes left 17 Palestinians dead and over 1,400 others injured in Gaza in what was the single deadliest day in the Israel-Palestine conflict since the 2014 war.
