Syria's grand Mufti, Sheikh Badreddin Hassoun hailed triumphs made against extremist groups of DAESH is Syria and Iraq.



Addressing the opening ceremony of the 31st edition of the Islamic Unity Conference, Syria's grand Mufti, Sheikh Badreddin Hassoun hailed triumphs made in Syria and Iraq against extremist group of DAESH, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

"The military conflict in Syria has now come to an end, but we must continue the cultural and civil war against our enemies,” pointed out the religious cleric noting Muslim nations are shouldered a heavy duty to fulfill their set objectives.

“Those waging war in Syria project the infighting as a religious conflict between Shias and Sunnis,” pointed out the religious cleric unmasking the real intention behind such willful measures urging Muslims to be much more vigilant. 

Syria's grand Mufti brieffed on unity related programs noting for forwarding unity programs, "the Assembly of the Union of Islamic scholars is to be established in Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Syria."

To Sheikh Badreddin Hassoun, religious thinkers and clerics have far to go to fulfill the set objectives in the realm of unity.

The three-day summit of Islamic Unity begins in the Iranian capital, Tehran, with 520 dignitaries, ministers, scholars, university professors, and representatives from scientific as well as cultural associations in attendance.
