Karatekas of 6 nations competing in Sanandaj

An international tournament of kyokushin-style karate opened in Iranian city of Sanandaj on saturday. The event is playing host to five foreign outfits and three Iranian squads with total of fifty karate practitioner competing in different weight categories in a one day tournament.

Teams from Turkey, Pakistan, and Iraq, along with two teams from Afghanistan, and three teams from Iran make up the contestants at the event.

The competitions are held in minus 60, 70, 80, 90, and plus 90 weight divisions for adult practitioners of the sport field.

The one day event will be concluded in the evening after a daylong rally of matches at Imam Khomeini Stadium, in Ghar town of Sanandaj.
