“Shia Imams and Islamic Unity” published

“Shia Imams and Islamic Unity” by Ali Agha Nouri is the title for latest publication at Iran’s University of Religions and Islamic Denominations in a bid to highlight the endeavors by Shia Imams to expand cooperation and solidarity among Muslims and also the strategies for realization of cooperation as well as threats which challenge objectives of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The book in seven chapters includes a closing attachment compilation of letters and statements denouncing extremism, Takfir (excommunication), dividing behaviors and also damaging outcomes of desecration.

The first chapter to this book is an explanation of important and general points including definition of Islamic unity, and its definition in view of Qur’an and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and also challenges on the path towards Islamic unity.

In view of the author a permanent and lasting solidarity is one which is based on proximity of beliefs among different denominations, a basic (and not superficial) proximity between few thinkers.

Member of the academic board at the University of Religions and Denominations, in his book, has related his views on necessity of diplomatic solidarity in the lifestyle of Imams, importance of avoiding schism, social unity of Muslims and avoiding sociopolitical divisions among Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and also theoretical principles of solidarity in view of Shia Imams.

Ali Agha Nouri has also focused on ideological means for tolerating disagreements and recognition of differences in thoughts, tastes and natures of people.
