Former adviser to Iran's foreign minister, Hussein Sheikh-ul-Islam in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) beckoned to willful measures advanced to drift Palestine issue into oblivion noting, "US President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel’s capital had the opposite effect."

"The series of rallies in support of Palestinian nations revive their fundamental rights," underlined the political analyst hailing late Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini for initiating this move in in 1979 as a way to express solidarity with the Palestinians and underscoring importance of the holy Quds to Muslims.

"The U.S and U.K are after intriguing infighting and increasing dispersion in the World of Islam so as to shift Muslims' attention away from Palestinian issue," pointed out Former adviser to Iran's foreign minister.

The International Quds Day is an annual event initiated by the late Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, in 1979 as a way to express solidarity with the Palestinians and underscoring importance of the holy Quds to Muslims. It is also a chance to show Muslims hatred towards atrocities of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian nation.

Millions of people across Iran and other world countries rallied on the International Quds Day to show their solidarity with the Palestinians and condemn Israel’s decades-long occupation and atrocities.

In Tehran and other cities and towns, people from all walks of life took to the streets for the annual event which falls on the last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.
