US attack on Syria, a breach of Intel law: Political analyst

Political analyst, Sabbah Zanganeh in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) detailed his views on recent attack by the United States, Britain and France against Syria, stressing the missile attacks run counter to the principles of international law.

Holding the measure as the blatant support for terrorist groups, the political commentator slammed the recent joint airstrikes which showed, in his line, the countries' attempt to interfere inside affairs in Syria.

"The United States can be sued by Syria for violating the international law and conducting an aggression against a sovereign state standing at the forefront of the battle against terrorism," stressed the political analyst. "Syria can file a lawsuit claiming damages against the U.S".

Commenting on the purposes US and its allies followed in their recent attack, Zanganeh went on to say, "US. France and Britain are after deciding Syria's future while this is an absolute right of Syrian people to determine their country's political future."

"The attack shows they are willing to present and have role in determining the future of Syria, while Syrian people's wants should be considered and paid attention worldwide," pointed out the political analyst.

Answering the question on what changes US-led strikes would bring in the long run for the country, he said, "Syria would be more powerful in defending its people as it has gained another experience."

"Thereafter the whole problems the country had braved against terrorist groups, Syria registered another experience against foreign offenses," mentioned the political analyst noting Syrian government can take stronger steps in building its country and securing peace and unity.

Sabbah Zanganeh future explained his line on the role Russia in this regard noting,"As the main power backing Syria, Russian official should play their role and stand against US greedy as these attacks can be counted as a movement against Russia," pointed out the political analyst.

In response to what the US, France and Britain claimed was a chemical attack by the Syrian government in the town named "Douma" in the suburb of Damascus on April 7, early on Saturday, they launched a series of missile attacks against Syria.

What recent airstrikes by the United States, Britain and France destroyed included a scientific research center producing cancer drugs, while Western powers claim that their series of missile attacks struck at the heart of Syria's chemical weapons program.
