Manal Fenjan, professor of international law at Baghdad University, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) counted sluggish Islamic thoughts as a reason behind vanishing original Islamic civilization, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

She urged for a review into previous religious thoughts and reform of the Fiq’h views which call people to Takfir saying,” Every religious scholar should apply the Hadiths and guidelines tailored with his particular era.”

Iraqi law expert referred to Takfiri groups’ applying religious recommendations of previous times without accredited comprehension of the Hadiths and said,” Stagnation of Fiq’h thoughts will lead to an Islamic nation retarded from modern Islamic civilization.”

She stressed necessity of increasing efforts to employ present capabilities to prevent expansion of Takfiri groups and added,” Takfiri groups in the past three decades have grown due to financial supports by some powerful Islamic states” and added,” These extremist groups will weaken the Islamic nation and impose the dominance of colonial powers allied with some Arab countries.”

Manal Fenjan proposed action against satellite channels spreading Takfiri thoughts and dividing Islamic nations.

She also proposed passing a moral charter which prevents all extremist media to spread violence and Takfiri thoughts permitting Islamic countries to legally sue extremist satellite channels.

According to the Iraqi law expert the second step to foil extremist Takfiri moves is to notifying the nations via reconditioning the religious dialogue.
