Ayatollah Taskhiri stresses:
Honor, determination of Muslims achieved in light of solidarity
Senior Shia cleric warned against Muslim division as beneficial only for arrogant powers and enemies and highlighted necessity of practical solidarity among Islamic nations.

Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs, in an interview with Iran’s Rasa News Agency, congratulated the Islamic Unity Week and reiterated solidarity as a vital demand in the world of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He referred to Qur’anic verses on Islamic unity in confrontation with arrogant powers and enemies of Islam and added,” All possible ways towards unity of Muslim world should be pursued because the honor and determination of Muslims realizes only in the light of solidarity.”
Former secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought noted that activities of Islamic countries should be in line with solidarity of Muslims saying,” Qur’an warns of a bond against Islam amongst nonbelievers; hence, if Islamic nation does not maintain its solidarity, it will be engulfed in corruption and intrigues.”
The cleric alluded to Qur’anic verse on necessity of unity among Muslims and said,” All activities and plans by Muslim countries should be defined in line with boosting solidarity and warning against repercussions of dispersion.”
Ayatollah Taskhiri warned that the only side benefiting disunity of Muslims is the arrogant powers saying,” Muslim nation, amid the present critical era, should take steps in line with Islamic unity so that they foil the heinous plots by enemies.”
