Interim Friday prayer leader of the Sunni community in Iran’s Urumieh city stressed solidarity and settling disagreements as the way towards realization of modern Islamic civilization.

On the eve of 31^st Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran, Seyyed Khalid Rasoulzadeh, prayer leader of Bookan, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA), stressed that to know the reasons for disagreements between different Islamic denominations is as important an issue as it is to study the grounds for their unity calling for ways to settle disagreement between Muslims as way towards realization of the objective.
 
He highlighted Islamic unity as the key to victory of Muslims and called that as the very way to block the way of enemies from achieving their heinous plots against Muslims.
 
Iranian Sunni cleric reiterated solidarity of Muslims as a necessity and a reason for determination of Islam.
 
“A review on changes in contemporary world proves that a proper introduction of Islam and commitment of Muslims to its teachings are among the most important measures in line with realization of modern Islamic civilization” said the scholar.
 
According to the cleric all challenges against Islam in all eras have been settled through unity and cooperation among Muslims.
 
Sunni professor denounced the plots hatched by arrogant powers to divide Muslims and said,” Our enemies can damage Islamic community in shadow of disagreement and clashes sparked among Muslims.”
 
Interim prayer leader of Bookan noted,” To fuel disagreements between Muslims, defending pro-western Islamic governments, supporting superficial movements in the world of Islam, provoking ethnicities and also exaggeration of disagreements are the means for arrogant powers to divide different ethnicities and nationalities.”
Interim prayer leader of Bookan conducted the interview on threshold of 31^st Islamic Unity Conference which is scheduled to be held in the Iranian capital of Tehran on December 5-7, 2017.
 
The upcoming event is held at the effort of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought with the theme of “The Unity and Requirements of Modern Islamic Civilization”.
