Ayatollah Araki warns:

“Myanmar catastrophe is unexampled”

Top Iranian cleric slammed the crackdown against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar denouncing the claimants of human rights for their inaction over the violence.


Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in an interview with Fars News Agency called Myanmar incidents as a catastrophe and denounced rights group for their silence over that, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He referred to the massacre of Rohingya Muslim minority in Myanmar and said,” In a world where many voice their support for human rights thousands of Muslims are butchered and burned yet there is no objection by any of so-called claimants of human rights.”
 
The cleric urged Muslim scholars to unite and announce their stance in regards to the present state in Myanmar.
 
Ayatollah Araki called the crackdown of Myanmar Muslims as “unexampled catastrophe” when it is happening in the same world where many claim to be supporter of human rights.
