Sunni Friday Prayer Leader in Golestan Province, Akhound Ahmad Qorbanpour in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) detailed his views on the telling role of Hall likened it ritual to a flag fluttering the name of Islam in the current turbulent world.

"Flag is a secret to the survival of each country's independence, and whys and wherefores fof nations' resistance and unity," underscored the Sunni cleric noting, "In the divine religion of Islam, Kaaba can be held as a symbol of solidity, reflecting the awakening of the followers of this holy ritual."

"A positive coorelation,obviously, stands between the hows of mounting Hajj ritual and the dynamism and elevation of Islam religion," stressed the religious cleric noting, "inasmuch as the religion of Islam will have its dynamism only up to the moment its followers attend the ritual."

"Muslim nations have always their consummate attention to Hajj ritual as a leading factor promoting unity in the world of Islam," pointed out Akhound Ahmad Qorbanpour.

According to the Sunni Friday Prayer Leader in Golistan Province, it is incumbent upon Muslims from all sects to be much more vigilant toward the plots and schemes, hatched by enemies, all of which targeting Muslims' standing unity.

"Achieving the resources and spiritual benefits of Hajj is a precursor for gaining its social achievements," underscored the religious scholar.

It is noteworthy, more than 1.4 million Muslims have arrived so far in Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage slated to begin next week, with this year’s rituals featuring the return of tens of thousands of Iranians.

So far 1,313,946 pilgrims have arrived by air, 79,501 by land, and 12,477 by sea,” the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday, citing passport officials.

The arrivals showed an increase of 33 percent compared with the same period last year, the SPA said, adding that the total number could surpass two million.

Based on the Islamic rules, every Muslim possessing the relevant physical and financial capability is obligated to perform the rituals once in his or her lifetime over a five-day period from the eighth to the 12th of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th and last month on the lunar calendar.
