Ruine rural district in Northern Khorasan Province is a region which survives a four century tradition of weaving hand-made textiles. With 120 women actively producing hand-made handkerchiefs, towels, blankets and cotton cloth, the region has been set a hub of handicrafts with authorities struggling to inscribe the art in UNESCO world heritage list.
